Submit A Proposal

Do you have an idea that could delight, teach, feed, or move your community? Turn your idea into a proposal! A Feast grant is roughly $700–$1,000, depending on attendance. Keep the scope of this grant in mind when writing your proposal. The best projects are small-scale, short-timeline, and targeted to a specific community, idea, or issue. Projects are more likely to get votes if your audience can envision an end product.

Submission Guidelines
The form basically asks you...

1. What is the title of your project? Give your idea a name.
2. Describe your project. Is it an event, an experiment, a movie, a meal, an installation? Is it one-time or recurring?
3. How will you use the grant to make your idea happen? Will you buy materials, hire workers, rent a space? Be specific.
4. Why and to whom is your project important or relevant?
5. Sneak Peek: If you can, send along a preview of your visual aid (slides, videos, photographs, etc.)

Please answer each question individually, in a Q & A format. Keep in mind that this text will be printed on posters for guests to read at the dinner. Check out the past proposals for reference.

If your proposal is accepted, you will be asked to attend Feast with a visual aid and prepare a short oral presentation (5 minutes tops) so that Feast diners can get excited about your project and cast their vote. Winners get the grant that evening (in cash!) You will return to the next Feast to talk about your progress.
