Feast's big sister and top-notch local chef, JJ Gonson, is hosting one of her mouth-watering ONCE dinners this Sunday, the day after Feast. Feast #7 is officially sold out, but if you want to know what a really high-quality all-local meal tastes like, JJ still has tickets left for ONCE. Here's the word:
Who: You and yours, and us! The gypsy cooks of Cuisine en Locale invite you to tackle mountains of food, devour endless courses and be washed in the glory of more BBQ than your wildest foodie dreams.
What: Our sixth annual ONCE BBQ: the Meat Olympics!
When: This Sunday, July 29, 5–10pm
Where: A secret spot in Central Sq, Cambridge, the address of which will be emailed to ticketholders the night before
How Much: $75 a piece for contenders (meat eaters) and a modest $25 each for observers (veggie side dishatarians). Get 'em here! Children are priced by size, based on a conversation – get in touch with us to let us know how much your tyke can eat.
Dress Code: Short Army has designed a stunner of a t-shirt that the first 75 ticket buyers get FREE (a $30 value) with every ticket, so you can stuff yourself and then show off your food baby. Please specify your shirt size and we'll do our best to accommodate you, while supplies last. Observers don't get t-shirts, but can buy them here or at the BBQ
The Rules: Bring your own beer or wine, and some hard stuff if you like. We'll bring fun mixers. We just might have our Slumbrew buddies come by with treats, who knows... You'll also kindly to bring your own eating utensils, so as not to use the plastic stuff- that would be at least a plate, napkin and cup- fork optional.
